ALL-PURPOSE TOMATO SAUCE

INGREDIENT AMOUNT STEPS

Carrots 250 g 1. Chop into 4-5 cm-long pieces.

Celery stalks 200 g 2. Pulse in food processor in batches if needed, until finely chopped (see photos).

Onion 200 g

Garlic 25 g / 8 cloves

Extra virgin olive oil 30 g 3. Preheat large saucepan over medium heat and film with oil.

4. Cook chopped vegetables 10 min., stirring occasionally, until slightly softened.

Canned diced tomatoes 1200 g 5. Combine with cooked vegetables, cover and cook 20 min.

Salt 10 g 6. Cool and refrigerate.

Ready When: Thickened and tastes tangy-savory-sweet
